Backend Node.js Developer

Join the team building the control plane behind Northwind's inference platform. You'll work on the APIs that customers integrate against and the internal services that schedule work across our GPU fleet. Our backend is TypeScript on Node, Postgres, and Redis, with a Rust service handling the hot path. You do not need Rust experience to join, but you should be curious about what happens below your abstraction layer.

• Design and ship REST and streaming APIs used by hundreds of customer integrations
• Own data modelling decisions in Postgres — schema, indexing, and migration strategy
• Build the job scheduling layer that allocates GPU capacity across tenants
• Instrument what you ship: metrics, traces, and alerts are part of the definition of done
• Participate in a light on-call rotation (one week in six, rarely paged)

• 3+ years building backend services in Node.js and TypeScript
• Strong relational database fundamentals — you can explain why a query is slow from the plan
• Experience designing APIs that other teams or customers depend on
• Familiarity with containerised deployment and CI/CD
